This is a bit of surreal announcement. I’ve been involved in education as a student or teacher since I entered Kindergarten at the age of 6. I’m now 40. And as of last month, I’m no longer a formal educator.

Every Christian is called to ministry. No, not vocational, churchy, preaching ministry. But every Christian has been gifted by God’s Spirit for ministry—for serving others and advancing God’s kingdom on earth. 

As some of you know, I teach at a Bible College that offers debt free education. We believe that college debt cripples graduates from living out their God-given calling. That's why we do everything we can to offer a high quality, holistic, integrative theological education at the lowest price possible. 

I’ve spent the last month working through two brilliant books by Christian philosopher, James K. A. Smith: Desiring the Kingdomand Imagining the Kingdom. After reading these books, the Center for Pastoral Theologians,
